Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Mama means business...

she is calling trainers to help her change my poor manners. She is having panic attacks when she hears the prices they are quoting. I heard her say to one that she could go on a boat cruise for a week for the amount of money they are charging. Oh, I hope she takes me on the boat cruise, too.

Mama says she did a good job training Dad but she needs help with me. I think he could benefit from some more training. After all, everyone has some bad manners, not just me!

Prairie Dog Antler

Mama and sister took me to Pet Valu, which I haven't been in before. There was only one other dog in the shop, so I wasn't so nervous. The shop was small and cozy and I liked it. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is nice inside. Mama said she use to go there to purchase items for Sierra before it was renovated.

We were on a mission to find something for me to chew on. Mama doesn't want me chewing on the rug. She even bought some stinky stuff to spray on the rug to help deter me (really it is the demon that possess me that she needs to worry about). Me, she doesn’t need to worry about because I am a love bug—an angel on earth.

Sister talked Mama into buying a prairie dog antler. Mama was concerned about where the antlers come from and if any animals are hurt in the process. She also was worried about my teeth because Sierra broke a tooth on a Nyla bone.

Anyway, thank goodness sister won out. Mama spent a fortune on the antler and another expensive ultra-chew log. She didn't give me that one yet. My brother told her she has to give me a variety of chew bones so I don’t eat her furniture. Go brother! Go brother!

Here I am with my antler. I love it! Thank you Mama and sister and brother too.

I am sorry Mama but I really don't want to share with you.

Mama made me a warm coat from Laura's sweatshirt. Brother said it was his sweatshirt before Laura took control of it. Mama told me Laura loved wearing her brother's clothes. Now I am wearing it!

Demon at it again...

All I can say is Mama is looking for trainers to help me break my "new" bad habits.

Oh no...not my Mama's rug

I have been living the life of luxury with my new family for approximately 6 weeks.  I love them so much. I have been enjoying posting about all the wonderful things I do and all the great gifts Mama buys me. Tonight Mama says I have to be honest and post the naughty with the good. So I am fessing up about Mama's living room rug. I honestly don't know what came over me. I tried giving Mama the excuse that it was Sierra's spirit who chewed the rug but she wasn't buying it. Not only did I chew the rug I started chewing away on the wooden guard gate. I just can't say why I did it. I wasn't even home alone. Dad was working away in the kitchen while the demon possessed me. Why, oh why didn't he save me?

I am sorry I did it because my freedom is now restricted. I surely hope whatever possessed me doesn't take over my jaws again.

I am not capable of this, Mama.

The demon chewed the rug when my head was turned....honest Mama!

This is why kids MUST have pets

Any child that has to grow up
without a dog is a deprived child

The pictures will bring a smile to your face. Enjoy!

This shepherd doesn't look furious to me!

No one should sleep alone

Adorable Pit Bull pups

Good puppy

Pit Bulls love their family. This is my  favorite pic.

I hope this smooch is followed by a Milk Bone.

So that is what my mouth looks like inside?

Best friends

Wow, a little me!

Now, do you really need to make all that noise?

Who needs a recliner?

2 peas in a pack

Does anyone have a ladder?

No, I never smoked!

You don't say...really?

Thanks B for sending these cute pics.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in saving Eris' life.
Because of your kindness and love she found her way to our home.
We are grateful to you and blessed to have her in the family.

Below is the post on the Facebook page for Pitty Rescue

This is a dog of a personal friend of my sister in law (withheld name) that needs help. She has until Friday to get a home or a foster..something other than a shelter!!!

The couple that have her are forced to move from their home and with relatives but can only take 1 of their 2 dogs her current location is Clifton NJ. she NEEDS a FOSTER OR FUREVER HOME ASAP

OUT OF TIME Going to a shelter

Her Name is Eris, She is 5 months old. Approx 30 pounds. Great with people, kids and other dogs. She has not been spayed or updated on shots yet due to financial reasons. Her owners had to leave their home. Even if a rescue can take her.

She is a cuddle bug. Not aggressive and gets along with other dogs. She's crate trained but she also knows 'get down' and will sleep on the side of my bed all night if I let her. She sits by the door when she needs to be walked. I'm heartbroken but she needs a home ASAP I'm out of time.

Sand between my paws

As of January 18 I am a Jersey Girl! Mama kept telling me I had to feel sand between my paws before I could claim to be a Jersey Girl. This weekend I was introduced to Barnegat Lighthouse and the beach. We were freezing at the lighthouse. The winds were blowing but that didn't keep people away. Besides me and my family there were hikers, sightseers, and
photographers.

We left the lighthouse and traveled down the main road in LBI to Surf City. That is where I experienced the beach for the first time. Mama would not let me go by the water because it was freezing. She didn't want me to catch a cold. I thought you caught fish in the ocean but Mama knows best. I don’t know where I got the idea that you catch fish.

Nana is in the  back. She really is my aunt.

Dad took pics of my paw prints in the sand.

Here I am with Nana in the warm house.

Nana, do you really want to take my seat?

The fresh sea air really makes a pup sleepy. Time for a nap.

Please wake me when it is dinner time.

I had a wonderful weekend at the Jersey Shore.
