Zany Zoey : February 2021

Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Another cousin

Hi everyone, I have another cousin who lives in the same state as I do. Meet Tobi, who is a pretty rescue dog from the Popcorn Zoo in Forked River. Mama found her on FB and told Jim to check her out. He did and now Tobi has a very good home with Jim. She loves her comfy pillow and she has toys to play with when she feels like playing. Most importantly, she has Jim to love her. Welcome Tobi to the family!

Happy Valentine's Day

Mama and Dad take really great care of me. I could not ask for a better home. I love my family, especially that little one who comes to visit and plays with her grandparents. She is always kind to me, except when she doesn't want me in the area where she is playing with her toys on the floor. Now do I look like a dog who wants to play with Barbies?

Look who turned 8 today

I am queen of the house today. It is my 8th unofficial birthday. No one knows my real birthday or how old I really am because I am a rescue who hit the lottery when Danielle brought me to Mama. Mama celebrates "me" on February 10 but really she celebrates me every morning when we have our adoration time, just her and me.

A girl and her toy

Lady Luck is my cousin who lives in Texas. I doubt we will ever meet but I am glad to see her pics on FB. Mama shows them to me. She has the cutest ears. She too is a rescue dog and she found herself a wonderful family. The three of them make a fun and loving home together.

In Loving Memory of our pets

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
