Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Farewell to the Captain...

Good day to my readers and fellow canines,

I don't know much about baseball, all I know is that I am a Yankee fan by family default. Last night was an exciting night for the team. Mama made me do some research on him, so here is some background info just in case you have been living in a hole or under a rock. Otherwise this info is not news to you!

Derek Sanderson Jeter was born June 26, 1974.

He is an American baseball shortstop who played in his 20th and final season in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. A five-time World Series champion, Jeter is regarded as a central figure of the Yankees' success of the late 1990s and early 2000s for his hitting, baserunning, fielding, and leadership.

He is the Yankees' all-time career leader in hits (3,461), games played (2,744), stolen bases (358), and at bats (11,186).[1] His accolades include 14 All-Starselections, five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and a Roberto Clemente Award

Jeter is the all-time MLB leader in hits by a shortstop, and the 28th player to reach 3,000 hits.

PS My dad's dad hated the Yankees. He use to call them "bums."
My Mama thinks he would have like Jeter.

Blogging and researching was too much work for me.
I am going to take a nap by my Mama on my
comfy pillow while Mama works.

Woof, woof, till later,
Zoey
