Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

I spent the last 6 days playing and nagging Mama's great nephew Shawn and niece Kyla. We had lots of fun together. Mama said she enjoyed hosting the young pups--they played miniature golf, went to the boardwalk and rode the amusement rides, won some prizes, enjoyed plenty of milk shakes (Kyla says Mama makes the best shakes), rode bikes, went to the pool most days, swam in the bay (until the green-headed flies started biting them; if there is a bug around, it will find my Mama), spent a few hours at National Town Night and met Darth Vader and some storm troopers, along with playing laser tag, and viewing some awesome old cars. All in all, everyone had lots of fun.

Although I didn't take part in any of the above activities I still loved sharing my house with them because they played ball with me, rubbed my belly, got soaking wet with the hose (oh how I love that long yellow hose), and paid lots of attention to little ole hyper me, even when I barked at them for no reason and jumped all over them and made them scream. That's when I would hear Mama yell--"Zoey, get off of them!"

I love those kids and summer fun.

Mama, when are they coming back?

Woof, woof, till later,
Zoey
