Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Look at Mama with the overgrown mouse...

Mama says I have to stop calling Dexter an overgrown mouse!
Hey, I don't see anything wrong with that nickname for him.
He is a very adorable looking mouse!

Mama hasn't seen him in a couple of weeks
so I am sure he is more the size of a city rat by now.
Danielle said he has gained weight and pooping
where he should not be doing his business.

Glad it isn't me for a change misbehaving!
At least I have the good sense to realize what time of the year it is.
Santa Claus is coming to town very shortly!
Everyone knows a girl can always use a new collar
(or as Mama calls it, my necklace), so I am not taking any chances.
I can be patient for a couple of days if I try really, really hard.
December 26 I can  resume my shenanigans.

December 10 2013 was my lucky day

December 10 is my one-year adoption date.

The day Danielle picked me up and dropped me off at my foster home.

Here are a few memories from the first couple of weeks with my foster parents.

Homecoming

My first trip to PetSmart
My new name on a tag with crystals
Showing off my new collar & name plate
Taking in my new suroundings

I didn't know I was wearing brother's Santa hat
I was still too nervous to feel comfortable in my new home
I wasn't paying much attention to anything. I was still shaking in my paws!

I am kissing my new Dad for my new house

May I be blessed the second year
in my home with Mama & Dad and may I have
may more  years for them to foster me!

Usually means a pair of shoes

... is being chewed into a thousand little pieces!

I couldn't help myself to Mama's slippers the other day.
She caught me before I had the soles destroyed
but I had time to pull
all the furry stuff off the slippers.
I think this is the third pair I chewed.
Mama keeps replacing them and she forgets to hide
them from little ole me.

I see them and think oh goodie Mama left me another treat!

Chocolates...

Mama says it is the season for chocolates for humans. While I was surfing the Web I came across a box of chocolates. Not sure if Mama would enjoy these.

Hey, this dog looks and sounds like me and I am no Great Dane!

What do you think?

Is this a dog or a mouse?

All Mama has been talking about is the new family member. Saturday, Brother & Danielle opened their home to a new pup. I can't meet him yet because he needs his shots. He is only 5 weeks old, 4 lbs, 9 oz (now you know why I can't determine if he is a dog or an overgrown mouse).

No name yet. Brother has one in mind but he and Danielle haven't decided on the final choice.

I have to admit my new nephew is extremely cute. I hope he likes me more than Louie did. Mama misses Louie. She said it was strange being at David's house without Louie.

You decide if you think the new little guy is cute or not. (If you don't, I think you must have a heart of stone.)
