Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com
Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

10 Year Anniversary
This date ten years ago was bittersweet. I didn't think I was ready for another dog after my precious Sierra passed. Obviously, Danielle thought otherwise and brought this scared, thin, shy pup to us to keep her from being homeless. The key word was "foster" her please. Well, she eventually worked her way into our hearts and ten years later, Fred is still reminding her and me when she is naughty (which is hardly ever) that she is being fostered. Who does he think believes him?! Zoey found her forever home within days ten years ago and we gained a sweet, loving family member. WE LOVE YOU Zo-Zo. You are here to stay forever!

Repurposed from my Facebook page: Bergen County NJ Lost and Found Pets
Although rawhide chews come in lots of fun shapes and sizes, your dog can easily chew off and swallow large pieces, leading to a potential choking hazard or intestinal obstruction.
What’s even worse is how rawhide is created: rawhides are a by-product of the leather industry and are washed and sterilized with a variety of (often harmful) chemicals, such as sodium sulfide, lime, chromium salts, bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. It is then molded and dyed to form what you see in pet stores today.
Please avoid them at all cost, no matter how pretty they market them!

Remember our service dogs, too!
The purple poppy is a symbol of remembrance in the United Kingdom for animals that served during wartime. The symbol was created in 2006 based on the principle of the traditional red remembrance poppy for Remembrance Day.

What a beautiful morning for a walk down the entrance way in Greenbriar Oceanaire. We found these adorable shells! We were delighted to find them! Thank you to the artist and whoever hid them in the development (may be the same person). I will re-hide them in north Jersey so my granddaughter can find them.

The original Pittie ambassador
Just a reminder that Petey, the original Pittie ambassador, was loved by millions and had a ton of children as friends. Dogs are never bad. Humans make them that way.
