Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com
Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Special needs dog has her brothers to rely on
Dog Loses Eyes to Glaucoma, 'Younger Siblings'
Take on Role of Guide Animals
her two younger pets stepped up to act as guides to the injured
animal.
News today. "She's amazing." When Kiaya was diagnosed with
glaucoma -- an eye condition that can cause blindness -- she had
to have both of her eyes removed, VanHusen said. That's when
Kiaya's "younger siblings"-- 8-year-old Cass and 2-year-old Keller-- jumped in to protect her.
PHOTO: After Jessica VanHusen 's 10-year-old dog Kiaya lost both of her eyes to glaucoma, her two younger pets, Cass and Keller, stepped up as guides.
"They were kind of bookends to her," VanHusen said. "They're not fiercely protective but they're always touching her. They're really respectful of her."

Dr. Gwen Sila is the veterinary ophthalmologist who operated
on both of Kiaya's eyes.
"Her brothers are pretty amazing at the way they help to guide her around," Sila told ABC News. "Each of them will stand on either
side of her so she doesn't bump into anything and lead her around the yard."
"Cass definitely took the role upon himself to guide her around the
yard which made me of course cry my eyes out," VanHusen said. "It's adorable."
"It's been wonderful. They're my kids," VanHusen added. "It's nice
to see them step up." |

Zo-Zo no more
Mama is going to ask her friend, Jim, who is a deacon to bless me. Brother said Mama should give me a bath filled with holy water.
I like my nickname and so does Mama but now she is worried over it. What do you think?
In every reported encounter with the entity known as Zozo, there is a single common thread: darkness. To communicate with Zozo via a Ouija board is said to invite an unrelenting demonic force into your life.
Later, when Ouija boards entered popular culture in the 20th Century, stories of Zozo began to rise, with numerous tales told of the Ouija spirit, the one who devours souls and changes lives.
Yikes, I don't want to devour souls...! I really don't think souls would taste good. All kidding aside, I think I prefer my full name...Zoey Elizabeth.
Meredith and Abbey
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog
even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and
play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will
know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would
take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if
God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside
front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope.
On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I
recognized her right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with
me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we
don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your
picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep
and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you
write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have.
I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and
remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find.
I am wherever there is love.
Love, God
