Zoey has really taken to blogging. She asked me to help her create a blog just for and about her and other canines. She says she wants to spotlight dogs like her. So there is no time like the present to start the New Year off with www.Zoeytherescue.blogspot.com

Zoey wants to remind you that there are tons of animals that need a FUREVER home. Also shelters need donations not only monetary but many other items too. She says to take in consideration that there are lots of humans who donate to wonderful, much-needed causes to help humans but there is not enough humans that donate to help save animals.

Mama posted some great information on her blog today. She asked me to share the link.

Warning: The topic only deals with humans, unfortunately canines aren't mentioned at all.

Here is a sneak peak. Visit Mama's blog to read more...

Consumer Reports Health has launched many new online "hubs" recently with focuses on a variety of Choosing Wisely related topics, including antibiotic overuse, medical tests before surgery, safe pregnancy, and screening tests. Today they launched a new hub on a topic that has been very present in the news recently -- that of caregiving, end-of-life decisions, and medical tests, and treatments for older adults.

Count down....3-2-1 weeks

Who am I?

What am I made of...
a bit of sugar (nah),
 a touch of spice (nope),
and everything nice (yes, oh yes)?

Mama purchased a DNA kit from that big store inside the laptop known as Amazon.
The kit arrived and the next thing I knew I was getting sticks switched around inside my mouth. Next morning Mama went directly to the post office to mail my specimen.
About a week later, Mama received an email letting her know my test was received
and soon I will know what wonderful breeds make up my very own ancestry.

Mama doesn't care what I am. Mama says I am a mutt just like her.
Dad is curious; he wants to know.

My questionable DNA has turned into a game.  My family all took a guess at my makeup.
Kyla, at the mature age of 8, says I am a "mixed"  dog. Now that girl is thinking with her pretty little head. I do think she is going to win the guessing game.

Maybe Mama will order another kit from that Amazon place and Dad can shove sticks inside her mouth so we can finds out what breed she is.

I already know what she is--she is my lovable Mama!

Color this dog black and call it me.

Yikes...

a cat with me? I don't recognize that mangy chair or do I remember lounging around with a cat!
Wait one minute, I don't even think I ever met a cat, let alone pose with one.
This dog is an impersonator and a very good one!

If it was me I would be wearing pink. Mama likes to see me in pink. I can't even see the collar on this good-looking, regal dog.

Believe me...it is not me but it sure looks like me!

(Yes, our TV still has tubes!)

Wait one minute...you forgot to let me in!

Thank you God for helping me find my new family.
Amen.
